Sam est un apprenti ramoneur, malmen\u00e9 par ses patrons. Alors qu\u2019on l\u2019oblige \u00e0 grimper dans la chemin\u00e9e d\u2019Iken Hall et qu\u2019il y reste coinc\u00e9, il est d\u00e9livr\u00e9 par les enfants de la maisonn\u00e9e. Ceux-ci montent un plan secret pour aider le jeune gar\u00e7on \u00e0 fuir sa situation et \u00e0 rejoindre sa famille.<\/p>

En composant cet op\u00e9ra, Benjamin Britten rend hommage \u00e0 tous les enfants qui ont travaill\u00e9 dans des conditions \u00e9pouvantables pour nettoyer les \u00e2tres des maisons en pleine r\u00e9volution industrielle. Il en fait un r\u00e9cit d\u2019\u00e9mancipation, gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 l\u2019intelligence collective d\u2019un groupe d\u00e9termin\u00e9 \u00e0 sauver l\u2019innocence.<\/p>

L\u2019op\u00e9ra donne la premi\u00e8re place aux voix enfantines dans un climat d\u2019effervescence, de ga\u00eet\u00e9 et de g\u00e9n\u00e9rosit\u00e9 contagieuse. \u00c0 l\u2019Op\u00e9ra national du Rhin, sous la direction de Sandrine Abello, les \u00e9l\u00e8ves de la Ma\u00eetrise et des classes \u00e0 horaires am\u00e9nag\u00e9s musique de deux \u00e9tablissements strasbourgeois incarneront cette histoire de solidarit\u00e9, en compagnie des solistes de l\u2019Op\u00e9ra Studio, et dans une proposition sc\u00e9nique de Johanna Boy\u00e9, artiste r\u00e9cemment r\u00e9compens\u00e9e du Moli\u00e8re du th\u00e9\u00e2tre jeune public.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
