Petits Chanteurs de Strasbourg – YOUTH choir of the Opera national du Rhin
The choir was formed in 2001 and has since become a major force in the local music scene. A diverse repertoire, the originality of the woks chosen and its artistic quality are its trademark, coming from a close relationship with the Opera national du Rhin.
Indeed, the choir has been associated wit the opera since 2009 and performs in all the company’s theatres. At the same time, the Petits Chanteurs follow their own concert program in France and abroad, thus exporting the image of the OnR, Strasbourg and the wider Alsace region.
Directed by Luciano Bibiloni, the choir is composed of 145 singers, girls and boys from 7 to 18 years old, separated according to age into 5 choirs. This ensures that the work is done according to age and ability.
A men’s choir copmletes the ensemble, allowing performances of all the vocal repertoire (solos, large choral works, equal and mixed voices).
The singers receive vocal and scenic training several times each week and are accompanied by a team of dedicated chorus masters, singing teachers, pianists and many more.
From the 20th to the 27th of April, the young singers of the Petits Chanteurs de Strasbourg is on tour to Slovenia and Croatia.
